Theresa Josephine 'Til' Novak, 83, passed away Aug. 17, 2012. Survived by her brother, John (Char-Lee) Skube of Sacramento, Calif.; sisters, Charlotte (John) Cernac and Dorothy (Joe) Mauro; sisters-in-law, Peg Skube and Ida (George) Vunovich, all of Pueblo; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as, special friends and extended family at Life Care. Preceded in death by her husband, John, in 2003; parents, John and Josephine Skube; brother, Donald Skube; and nephew, Michael Cernac. Til was born June 25, 1929, in Pueblo, and married John Novak on May 10, 1952. She retired from First Federal Savings (American Savings & Loan) after 42 years of service and received a Certificate of Service from American Savings & Loan. She was an avid sports fan, especially Colorado Rockies, and she enjoyed trips to Cripple Creek. Til participated in hearing tests for students in both District 60 and 70. Member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, Alpha Delta Chapter which awarded her a Certificate of Service in 2011, for 55 years of service. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial Mass, 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 217 E. Mesa Ave., with the Rev. Father Ben Bacino as celebrant. Memorials may be made to PAWS for Life or Sangre de Cristo Hospice & Palliative Care through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, CO 81003.
