Thelma V. Slump, 93, passed away on October 19, 2014. Survived by children, Gary L. (Donna Somes ) Slump of Chandler, Ariz., Lana J Niehans of Penrose, Colo; grandchildren, Andrew G. (Jennifer) Slump of Aurora, Colo. and Carrie E. (Sheldon) Vidamo, of Gilbert, Ariz.; great-grandchildren, Kayla Slump and Garrett Slump of Aurora, Colo., Mathew J Vidamo of Gilbert, Ariz. and Alexis Vidamo of Gilbert, Ariz.; sisters, Elaine Polk of Albuquerque, N.M. and Betty Cooper of Bullhead City, Nev. Preceded in death by her husband, Donald LeRoy Slump; brothers, Howard Miller of Luckenbach, Texas, Fred Miller Jr. and Irvin Miller both of New Market, Iowa. Born to Fredrick and Pearl Thompson Miller on May 30, 1921, in Gus, Iowa. Thelma worked as a beautician in Omaha, Neb., the telephone company in Pueblo and Colorado Springs, Colo. and as a bank teller in Pueblo, Colo. She was a member of First Methodist Church in Pueblo, Colo. and the African Violet Club. There will be no viewing. Funeral service, 2 P.M. Friday, October 24, 2014, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Gary Slump officiating. Private family interment. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, CO 81003 or direct to charity of your choice.
