Thelma Elizabeth Wheeler, 91, passed away July 28, 2009. Survived by her daughters, Carol Ann Wheeler of Pueblo and Janet (Don) Honey of La Junta; grandchildren, Jace (Lesli) Honey, Keo Honey, Cassie (Brian) Elder and Rory Wheeler; and sister-in-law, Shirley Olson of Demming, N.M. Preceded in death by her husband, Roy B. Wheeler on May 22, 2004; three brothers and four sisters. Thelma was born to Henry and Dagny Olson on Feb. 22, 1918, in Meade, Neb. Formerly of La Junta, Colo., she and her family moved to Pueblo in 1963 where she worked as a secretary/bookkeeper at LeMasters Janitor Supply for many years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. The family thanks the nursing staff at Parkview Medical Center, particularly, Carmen at Four Tower, and Lisa, Jewel and Suzanne in I.C.U. and her many doctors, including Dr. Duffy. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2009, at First Presbyterian Church, 10th and Court, with the Rev. Dr. Brad Munroe officiating. Inurnment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum. Those who desire may make memorials to First Presbyterian Church or Arkansas Valley Hospice, through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, Colo. 81003.   6. My sincere apologies for not being able to attend the Memorial Service. Thelma was truly a lady, in the greatest sense of the word. It was my pleasure and honor having known her and having had her shine and smile towards me some years ago.
