Tillit 'T.J.' Bryant, 84, of Pueblo, Colorado, passed away June 30, 2005. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Melba Bryant, on Nov. 9, 2001; grandson, Shawn Wilborn; and sister, Vista Bryant. Survived by his daughters, Barbara (Leonard) Opdenhoff and Linda (Mark) Fisher; sons, T.J. (Sharon) Bryant, Jr. and Ron Bryant; grandchildren, Ronna (Frank) Hopson, Andrea (Jeff) Roberts, Jeffrey Bryant, David Bryant, Misty (Steve) Leflar and Rachel Bryant; 6 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Eva Fowler; brother-in-law, Albert Golden, Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren. T.J. was born July 30, 1921, in Tipton, Okla. As a young man, he farmed the land. Later he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. After the war, he became a diesel mechanic, a skill he learned during his service with the navy. T.J. was an avid motorcycle rider and belonged to the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He and Melba traveled extensively with the group. T.J. loved fishing and spent many hours fishing lakes and streams all over the Rocky Mountains. He is cherished by his family and much loved and respected by his family and friends. He left his family with many wonderful memories in mind and heart. Thank you, Dad 'Papaw.' We LOVE you! There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2005, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel.
