Resided in: Pueblo, CO

Sydney Erin Woodka, 19, of Pueblo, Colorado, Aug. 22, 2004. Her absolute joy, love and happiness far outweighed the severe health problems that Sydney bravely faced throughout her lifetime. Sydney graced us each day with an opportunity to learn more about life and ourselves. She greeted everyone with openness and love; she was always glad to see you; she let others provide for her; she never complained about her situation - these were the lessons we learned. We called her our 'professional baby,' and in this vocation she excelled. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her father and mother, Chris and Mary Woodka, of Pueblo; her sisters, Courtney Woodka, of Pueblo, and Laura (Andy) Arcilise, of Arvada; nephews, Noah and Reichle Arcilise, of Arvada; and grandmother, Arlene Rhinehart, of Kirkwood, Ill. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Sydney enjoyed the company of her family, helium balloons and the 'bunny-monkey gang,' a collection of stuffed animals she accumulated over the years. Her special fondness for the stuffed monkeys among that motley crew has led us to establish a memorial fund in her honor for the Monkey Mountain renovation project, c/o The Pueblo Zoo, 3455 Nuckolls Ave., Pueblo, CO 81005. There will be private family services. No flowers or food, please.
