Susan Gail Searain, 71, passed away on July 10, 2022. She is survived by her son, Brenan D. (Lucero) Searain; and mother, Barbara G. Conn. Preceded in death by her father, Cecil Sewell.
Susan was born to Cecil Sewell and Barbara Dancy on Oct. 12, 1950, in Pueblo. She worked at the Colorado State Hospital in the mail room and enjoyed making art, painting, writing, reading, feeding cats and wildlife and spending time with her family and friends. Susan was a free spirit, a humanist and held the highest ideals for the freedom of humanity.

I dated Susan through her High School years. Sweetest girl you could ever imagine. Always wondered about her as the years passed. Wish I could have found her sooner and reconnected as friends.
Susan was in my Art class at Centennial. She painted so beautifully, a very talented lady. May she RIP. My condolences to her family. God bless.

I will miss the conversations with my cousin. We had lost contact for 26 years. She was two mnths older than my sisiter and I. Last time I saw her was at our aunt’s funeral in 1986. Susan, my sister and I attended Centennial high school, she graduated in 1968, my sister and I in 1960. Susuan and I had biology together and two hours late the same teacher had my twin, The teacher had problems remembering who was who. My twin and Susan looked more alike than my twin and I. I will miss her. She was a great artist, she designed the cover for tthe year book for her class of 1968 for Centennial.
She is in a better place and no longer in pain.
