I am sure none of the Dynes children even remember me, but they lived up in the Minnequa Heights neighborhood growing up and we all attended Lake View Elementary School. Marvin, Jr. was in my grade and often in the same classroom as me. I remember Mrs. Dynes from being a PTA “Room Mother” just like so many of our moms back then. She was a pretty lady, very nice. It seems the family moved as Marvin and I were about to enter the 7th Grade and Junior High. I often thought about the Dynes family and where you all ended up. I am sad to see that, in addition to your dear mother, your brother Marvin has passed, too. I never ran into any of you once you left the old neighborhood. I hope that your mother lived a happy and fulfilled life. She certainly deserved it and it sounds like all of you and your own families were the joy of her life. Though you may not recall me, know that my sincerest sympathy is extended to all and may your brother, my funny classmate, and your precious mother be in the glorious presence of God.
A Childhood Acquaintance,

You were loved very much and will be missed. May you rest in heaven and the glory of God.
Though he brings grief, he will die compassion, so great is his unfailing love. Lamentations 3:32
Will miss you, mom. Will miss playing cards and eating candy and drinking Dr. Pepper.
Love, Lydia
She loved you so very much.
Sue your time here made such a difference to me and so many others. Your unconditional love for others was unheard of. HUGE hugs to Turk for me when you see him. I will miss you both so much.
Mama Sue, you were exactly the godly mama that I needed. I am so glad that we met at church. Miss you terribly but are taking comfort that you are no longer struggling with your health but whole singing with the angels! Tell Turk…all this “makes me moody”. Love ya both.
