Stephen Levi Cox was born to Caleb and Katie Cox on March 18, 2021. At approximately 9:25 AM Stephen made his appearance, weighing 2 lbs. 2 oz., and was 15” long. He was beautiful in every way, with dark curly hair, perfect little lips, super long feet, and some terrific sideburns. According to God’s Word, there is a time to be born, and a time to die. Though difficult for us to understand, God chose to take Stephen to heaven on the same day as his birth. During his brief time on earth, Stephen was blessed to see his momma’s face, feel the loving touch of those caring for him, and hear the prayers of family and friends on his behalf, especially his own momma and daddy’s. He was completely enveloped in tender care and prayers, every moment spent in the arms of someone who loved him deeply. He spent his time here in sweetness and love. Though brief, what a blessed life he had—never to know the sorrows of sin and pain in this dark world. His arrival in heaven was joyfully welcomed by those preceding him in death: his older sibling, great-granddaddy Stephen Smith, and great-grandmother Avonelle Cox, along with other family members who’ve gone on to their reward. We will always cherish the precious time we had with Stephen Levi and we anxiously anticipate our reunion someday. What a day of rejoicing that will be!
