Stephanie Nunn-Nakama, 48, passed away on Oct. 23, 2006. Survived by her loving husband, Stanley Nakama, of the family home; son, Danny Nunn of Pueblo; stepdaughter, Jennifer Jessup and family of Washington, D.C.; stepson, Kirkland Nakama and family of Hawaii; parents, Wilfred and Janet Baum of Pueblo; sister, Sandra Y. Baum of Pueblo; niece, Tiffany Gernazio and family of Pueblo; nephews, Mario Gernazio, Jr. and family of Pueblo, Jonah Chun and family of Hawaii, William Griffith III and family of Oregon and Jesse Griffith and family of Oregon. She is preceded in death by two sisters, Susan Y. Gernazio and Sally Griffith. Stephanie was born on Aug. 15, 1958, in Nassawadox, Virginia. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Graveside service, 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, at Roselawn Cemetery for family and friends with Reverend Earlene Cornell officiating. Online condolences, www.montgomerysteward.com.
I was saddened to hear about Stephanie. It’s been 25 years since I’ve seen Stephanie, & I don’t know if she would’ve remembered me, but I have a lot of fond memories of her & Danny Sr. My condolences to her family.
