Stella Ruth Heckart, 105, passed away June 7, 2023. Survived by her daughter, Shirley (Keenan Schlegel) Kravig; grandchildren, Sherry (Marvin Lee) Houston, Tammy (Jim) Musso, Patrick Harmon, Ken (Deb) Kravig, Jeri (Ed) Powell; 14 grandchildren, 20 great-great grandchildren, 6 great-great-great grandchildren and 4 great-great-great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles P. Heckart; daughter, Florence Yvonne (Leonard) Harmon; 3 brothers, 2 sisters 2 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Born to George and Bessie Greenwell on February 6, 1918 in Pueblo.
Stella lived a full life in Fowler, Colorado with her husband of 67 years and the love of her life, Charlie Heckart. They lived a full many ventures from running the Fowler Creamery, to owning the grocery store, Heckart’s Market in Fowler, before moving to their farm in 1961, north of Fowler, where they resided for 42 years, before she lost her husband. They enjoyed their animals and spending time with their family and watching their grand kids playing sports. They loved to support their family.
Stella Ruth was such a sweet pleasant little lady who loved her friends and family with all her big heart! I have known the family for many years. Praying for all her family. RIP Stella.
Stella was a wonderful and special lady who I knew all my life. Prayers and hugs to all her family.

Stella Ruth was always such a delight and such a sweet person. I remember her saying at her 100th birthday party she didn’t know why she had lived so long. I reminded her to embrace this blessing as got up and greeted the guests by name! A remarkable life.
