Shirley Pusedu, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 28, 2023. She is survived
by her devoted children, Dan Pusedu, De (Marty) Gersick, John Pusedu, Mike Pusedu and Rae Ann
(Mike) Blazer; grandchildren, Maria (Jason), Tony, Jahna, Mia, Trevor (Alea), Santino; great-
grandchildren, Ty, Chase and Tenisyn; sisters-in-law, Joann Virant and Elaine Pusedu; and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, Ray Pusedu; parents, Victor and Mary Jacques; siblings, Dolores
Wilking and Eugene Jacques; and endless extended family members.
Shirley was born and raised in Pueblo, Colorado where she graduated from Central High school in 1955.
Soon after, Shirley married the love of her life, Ray Pusedu. During their 62 years of marriage, they were
blessed with five children and grandchildren who became the center of her world.
Shirley touched all those that were part of her life, both within and outside of the Pusedu family. She
received no titles, degrees, or awards in her unwavering loyalty and hard work. Instead, she allowed the
light to shine on all those around her. Aside from her extreme humility she was gifted in all her hobbies,
which included drawing, interior decorating, ceramics, cooking, sewing, and baking. Shirley dedicated all
of her spare time to strictly volunteer work at her children’s and grandchildren’s schools and activities,
in addition to her summers working with the Creative Arts entries at the Colorado State Fair.
Special thanks to her unwavering caregivers, Adrianna, Cyndra and Mayra; the dedicated staff at
Bonaventure Senior Living along with Abode Hospice.

Shirley was my aunt. I remember going to the cabin and moving the out house. We went to the state fair and it took us about an hour to get in because she knew everyone and had to introduce me to them. I have so many great memories I can’t put them all down. She was a great and loving aunt. ❤️

liebe Nana,
Dear Nana,
It’s such a shame that I wasn’t allowed to see you again! But my positive memories remain – you have always been the most lovable, strong and best grandma you could wish for in life! You remain unforgotten in my thoughts. I hope you landed well up there and you’re doing well! I look into the stars and think of you every evening, while tears run down my face …. unimaginable that I can never see you again! I will miss you so much and no word in the world can express this pain
May you rest in peace sweet Mrs. Pusedu … you always brighten the room when you walked in. Your smile was a graceful welcome. You will truly be missed. God bless the Pusedu family
