  8. Shirley was a pioneer & legend for women in athletics, education, recreational tennis and humanity. She had a heart of gold and was stubborn as a mule. Once she made her mind up nothing would deter her from accomlishing her goal or mission. She was a true friend, an auntie to our kids and a tireless volunteer. Shirley was always lending a hand to someone in need, supporting the local arts here in Pueblo and on her traveling adventures. She spoke her mind, said what she meant and meant what she said; A rare trait in this world. Shirley, you’re finally free from the physical contraints of this world and can be reuinted with your sister. 💗🙏

  9. My wife and I lived next door to Shirley for years and you couldn’t ask for a better neighbor. When she moved I would visit her with our dog. Shirley seemed to enjoy the time with the dog and Mac enjoyed the time with Shirley.

  10. My deepest condolences to Shirley’s family. I’ll always remember her from the tennis courts, and her and the tennis girls spending days days with my wife during her illness. Shirley would even cook dinner for Dee and me. God Bless you and rest in peace Shirley.
