Shirley Lorraine Fish

Shirley Lorraine Fish, age 90, passed away peacefully on Sept. 8, 2010, at the Sangre de Cristo Hospice in Pueblo, Colo. In spite of a variety of serious health conditions in her later years, she maintained a sharp wit and a love of life. Shirley was viewed by many who came into her life as 'quite a character.' She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Air Force M/Sgt Edward F. Fish (ret.), and her two sons, Dale E.(Sandra) Fish of Pueblo West, Colo, and Donald K. Fish of Elfreda, Ariz. Shirley was a member of that 'Greatest Generation' who sacrificed and gave much and asked for little in return. She will be dearly missed. She leaves behind five grandchildren, Douglas W.(Heather) Fish, Brian A. Fish, Samuel Fish, Ezekiel Fish, and Lazarus Fish. She is additionally survived by seven great-grandchildren, Caroline Fish, Benjamin Fish, Zackary Fish, Eli Fish, Kaitlin Nelson, Kori Nelson, and Josiah Nelson. Private interment, Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo. The family wishes to thank Pueblo Care & Rehab Center and Sangre de Cristo Hospice for their loving care of Shirley during her final months and days.
