Sharon Jean LaFoe, 81, passed away April 21, 2021. Survived by children, Cathy Moncrieff, Michael LaFoe and Dan LaFoe. Preceded in death by husband, Robert Francis LaFoe. Born to Ethel May and Charles Robert Hyde on December 27, 1939, in Manzanola, Colo. Sharon was a school teacher, enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 10 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021, at Vineland Methodist Church, 1587 36th Lane, with Rev. Dr. Rick Calhoun officiating. I had her as a teacher in elementary school…great teacher and a great person. My heart goes out to her family.
I had the privilege of working with her when I taught at Pleasant View Middle School. We kept in touch for years after I became a stay at home mom and then when I returned to teaching at Rye High School. I will always remember her kind, quiet demeanor. Sending my most sincere condolences.
Was fortunate enough to have Mrs. LaFoe as a teacher in 7th grade. She was always insightful, fair and kind. She will be missed.
