Sandra 'Samme' K. Scott, born June 29, 1951, died June 5, 2012. Samme made her journey to be with her beloved Lord Jesus. Preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Benjamin Fernandez. Her memories will survive through her loving husband of 43 years, Amos 'Terry' Scott; her daughters, Rachel (Phil) Tripplehorn, Shannon (Scott) Adams and Tracie (Mike) Gomez; her festive daughter, Jennifer 'Ninji' Young; Goddaughter, Marlena Landson; grandchildren, Sarah, Elissah, Caitlyn and Victoria, and her only grandson, Samuel; special aunt, Mary (Claude) Sanchez; sisters, MaryAnn (Ross) Vigil and Susie Gutierrez; and numerous nephews and nieces. Samme loved her family and extended family tremendously. Her grandchildren glowed in her heart with pride and they returned the same love with a simple word 'Bamms' started by her eldest grandchild, Sarah. She had a love for intricate needle and bead work. her Christmas tree would show her talent with the ornaments she would make. Samme also had such a creative spark for piecing together creative and beautiful costumes for her grandchildren and outfits for her girls when they were young. Samme also found such peace in her fishing trips to one of her favorite mountain town, Pitkin. She, as well, devoted a length of time to help others with their own religious faith through the form of Bible study and RCIA at Holy Family. Throughout her life, good times and bad, her faith never lessened. She saw the good in people who could not see it themselves. To honor our Samme's wishes, a memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 11, 2012, in the Montgomery Steward Funeral Chapel. Flowers of celebration may be sent directly to the chapel.
