Samuel A “Popi” Ingo, 87, passed away January 8, 2020. Survived by wife, Dorothy Ingo; children, Rick (Jerri) Ingo, Sam (Kriste) Ingo Jr. and Beth Ingo; grandchildren, AJ (Jess) Ingo, Nona (Jerry) Manchego, Chad Ingo, Brice (Devon) Ingo, Kelsey Ingo, Giovanni Rider, Gianna Rider, Samantha Rider, Lane Ingo, Tuff Ingo, Bailey Ingo and Jacob Ingo; great-grandchildren, Brilane Manchego, Bryant Manchego, Landon Rider, Brison Manchego, Brynlee Manchego, Jameson Rider, Kashley Ingo, Vincenzo Rider, Jaciano Rider, Toni Ingo, Wacey Ingo and Hayes Ingo.
Preceded in death by parents, Tony and Bessie Ingo; son, Anthony Ingo; grandsons, Sammo Ingo and Tyler Ingo; sisters, Ruth Ingo-Hinds and Rose Ingo-Roderick; in-laws, Mac and Vi McDonald; and several dear friends.
Sam was born to Tony and Bessie Ingo on May 3, 1932 in Pueblo Colorado. He worked at CF&I Steel for 31 years and retired 36 years ago. Sam enjoyed hunting, fishing, the Colorado Rockies, the Denver Donkey’s, old cars, spending time with his grandkids, going to Cripple Creek, going to the coffee shop to “BS” with his buddies, running down the highway in his little yellow Jeep or white Chevy (he was called “Mayor of the Mesa,”) watching old cowboy movies, and the most important was all the time he spent with his family. He was member of Travelers Protection Association, American Legion Post 2003, Knights of Columbus, Elks and Sons of Italy.   2. I have known Sam and Dorothy for 44 years. He was so patient with all the kids that Dorothy looked after. My kids called him Toto for many years.
    He will be missed by so many. Heaven has a special man.

    His smile was infectious, and he had many funny stories.
    He would always wave at us driving by when sitting on his front porch.
