Sally J. Cowden
Sally J. Cowden passed away May 21, 2007. Survived by her husband of 56 years, Bob E. Cowden; daughters, D'Anne Michelle (Gary) Barrow and Marnalea (Mike) Chacon; grandchildren, Jill Kathleen Barrow and Zachary Barrow; sisters, Amelia Lalich and Mary E. Dunn; and brother, Daniel M. Knez. Preceded in death by her parents, Sophie (Vunovich) and Michael Knezevich; and sister, Anne Knez. Sally was born in Pueblo and married Bob on March 24, 1951. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Associate member of the Assistance League of Pueblo, Colorado, Perceptor Delta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Member of Colorado Mental Health Institute of Pueblo Auxiliary. Viewing, from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral service, 10 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2007, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Pastor Kim James officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association, in care of Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Gary and D’Anne,
I was reading through the archived obituaries and read about Sally. I am so sorry for you guys. I moved to Denver a year ago, so don’t read the Pueblo paper. Maybe you know that my Dad (Ralph Levy) passed away on July 3, 2007. We are all devastated at this time. He always thought so highly of Gary’s teaching in Pueblo at the university. My Mom is in poor health also, and my plan is to move back to the Pueblo area to help my sister take care of Ann. My best to you and your family at this time of loss.
