Sabino 'Sonny' Lontine, Jr., 69, passed away Dec. 23, 2007. Survived by his wife, Mary 'Rose' Lontine; sons, Thomas Larry (Tracy Romero) Lontine of Pueblo, and Charles Julian Lontine of Pueblo West; grandchildren, Shaleena and Shanae Lontine; six brothers; and four sisters. He is preceded in death by his son, Bobby Dean Lontine and four brothers. Sonny was born in Puritan Camp-Erie, Colo., on August 29, 1938, to Dora (Muniz) and Sabino Lontine, Sr. He was a member of St. Pius X Parish. Viewing Wednesday from 1 to 5 p.m and Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral Mass, 1 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2007, at St. Pius X Parish, 3130 Morris Ave., with the Rev. Father Ben Bacino as celebrant. Cremation will follow, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Interment, 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, in Longmont, Colo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N.     I was so sorry to hear about Sonny’s passing. I really had no idea you moved from the Dacona area, I live in Oklahoma now and work for a local bank.My children are raised now, Zach is 24,Joshua 22 and my daughter Kylee is 18.My parents are still in Greeley and doing well, Please email me when you recieve this Rose, as I would love to hear from you.     We are so sorry about the loss of Sonny. I’ll always remember my Uncle Sonny the way he playfully teased me…”What ‘chu’ mean?”…His laughter with his brothers and sisters will always be indelible from my heart.

    We planned on making the funeral today and we really wanted to come down and see you guys but the weather is very rough. We miss you so much.

    Sabino Lontine was my step uncle.
    I though he was such a fun guy. We sat with him at one of Julian’s singing competitions. We had a ball that night.
    My cousin Julian, and I are pretty close. I think the world of Julian and his mom, Rose.
    I wish I had know my step Uncle better and would have been around him more.
