Ruth G. Jones

Ruth G. Jones, 78, passed away June 11, 2000. Survived by her husband, William L. Jones of the family home; children, Kenneth (Joyce) Jones of Pueblo and Merlyn Jones of Pueblo West; grandchildren, Kenneth W. (Jeannette) Jones Jr. and Christina L. (Don) Durning; great-grandchildren, Sheridan Jones and Kenneth W. Jones III; siblings, Edythe Martin of Kentucky, Doris Lanham of Grand Junction and Larry (Deann) Carlson of Texas; sisters-in-law, Myrtle Carlson, and Elaine Carlson both of Minnesota; brothers-in-law, Reyno Hyrkas of Minnesota, Robert W. McCoy of Florida, John (Ann) Criswell of Colorado and Tom (Ethyl) Jones of Minnesota; and 22 nieces and nephews. Ruth was born July 26, 1921, to John P. and Jennie (née Nyberg) Carlson in Maple Ridge, Minnesota. At her request, there will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2000, at the Montgomery & Steward Chapel, with Reverend Mark Hayes officiating. Interment at a later date in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice through the funeral home. The family will receive friends and relatives at 2320 Mountview Dr. following the service.
