Ruth B. Pile, 92, passed away on December 31,2003. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Ross; son, J. Daniel Humble; son-in-law, Clarence Kenworthy; five brothers and sisters. She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Chlo (Stanley) Grundy and Joy Kenworthy; daughter-in-law, Shirley Humble; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She married Oren Pierce Humble in 1928, with whom she started her family. After his untimely death in 1944, she subsequently married and was widowed three additional times during her life. Ruth was born July 31, 1911, in Tennyson, Texas, and lived a long and productive life. A loving, maternal, and deeply spiritual person, she unselfishly helped many others during her life. She retired from the Pueblo Postal Employees Federal Credit Union. Ruth loved to travel worldwide and was a published writer. But her greatest treasure was her extended family, for which she would do or give anything. She is loved and will be missed by all. The family thanks Dr. Darrow, Eileen Boller and all of Ruth's care-givers. She will lie in state at the funeral home today from 2-6 p.m. Ruth was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, 84 Stanford Ave., for many years, where services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2004, with Pastor Conley Henderson officiating. Private family interment in Penrose Cemetery, Penrose, Colo. Those who desire may make memorials to First Church of the Nazarene or a charity of choice, through the funeral home.
Ruth was a neat lady. She will be missed working with the senior group. I’m happy that she is home with the Lord. Jo Ann
