Russell Edward 'Ed' Reinier, 83, received his sunset January 5, 2008. Survived by his wife, Norma, of the family home; children, Paula (Richard) Schneider of Thornton, Colo., Don (Dorothy) Williams and Delene (Charlie) Hall, both of Pueblo; sister, Imogene Warren of Leon, Iowa; grandchildren, Jennifer (Nic) Weldon, Craig (Jennifer) Williams, Shannon Schneider, Darren (Melissa) Williams, Charlie, Chris and Nick Hall; six great-grandchildren; niece, Rene O'Rourke of Denver and nephew, Melvin Warren of Leon, Iowa. Preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Anna Reinier; and sons, Eddie and Donnie Reinier. Ed was born December 31, 1924, in Leon, Iowa, and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Ed loved sharing nature and the beautiful mountains with his family and friends. Ed was an avid skier, hunter, backpacker and fisherman as well as an enthusiastic sports fan. Ed was a professor at USC in Pueblo and after retirement he was a volunteer worker at the Pueblo Reservoir Fish Hatchery for nine years. He attended Central Christian Church. At his request there will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with the Rev. Dr. David Chambers officiating. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, Colo. 81003.
