Roy Gustavo Barbosa Gomez

Roy Gustavo Barbosa Gomez, 32, passed away unexpectedly on October 23, 2023. Roy is survived by his loving wife of six years, Megan Huscko; his mother, Candida Gomez; his father, Ricardo (Beverly) Barbosa; his brother, Ricky (Alexia) Barbosa, and their child Brinley; his sister, Yessenia (Martin) Zarate and their children, Naomi and Elian; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents.

Roy was born May 14, 1991, in Shenandoah, Iowa. He was an Army Veteran who worked as a Behavioral Health Tech and helped many Soldiers who struggled with mental health. He was currently attending school to become an EMT.

Roy enjoyed being out in nature, going on hikes on mountain trails or walking paths at parks, he loved playing with his dog Jasper, and he enjoyed watching football; his favorite team was the Minnesota Vikings, and he enjoyed being home.

Private family viewing, Monday, October 30, 2023, followed by cremation in the Montgomery & Steward Crematorium.
