Rosemary Rita Mena Goodwin

Rosemary Rita Mena Goodwin entered the gates of Heaven and began her eternal life on March the 7th after celebrating her 70th birthday on March 6th. Awaiting her with open arms and much anticipation were her parents, Simon and Josephine Mena. With her last farewells already said to her daughter, Judie (Louis) Gomez; grandsons, Sam and Gregg; and great-grandson, Zachary Tyler; sister, Peggy (Alex) La Rocca, Rockville, Maryland; brother, Stanley (Lori) Mena, Pueblo; 3 nephews; 2 nieces; and the Rivas cousins and their families; as well as her many friends. Member of Republican Central Committee, 64th Precinct Chairwoman, Insurance Women Association, American Business Women Association, Steel City Republican Club, Legal Secretaries Association, Altrusa International, Fiesta Day Parade Committee, State Fair Committee, Eagles Aerie # 145 F.O.E. and Holy Family Parish. She was a legal secretary for 30 years, having worked at the DA's office and the bankruptcy courts and owner of the Open Hearth from 1977-1997. Viewing, 1-3 p.m. today at the funeral home. Recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. today and Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Monday. Both services at Holy Family Church, 2827 Lakeview, with Rev. Father Ron Roche as celebrant. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery.
