Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I have many wonderful memories of Rosemary. Our visits to your house in Avondale, taking turns going around the basement as fast as possible on the little tractor, wonderful meals, good conversation. The Aldred family reunions were always fun. She was a lovely woman and you are a lovely family.

  2. Rosemary was my Sunday school teacher at the Avondale Methodist Church. I still remember singing This Little Light of Mine and Head and Shoulders Knees and Toes. She was an amazing woman, mother, and friend. I remember asking my mother how tall would I get when I grew up. My mother, Miriam Welty, said I would be as tall as Rosemary Aldred. That made me very happy, I wanted to be a woman of faith, full of kindness and joy like Rosemary. Blessings to the family – Tom, Allan, Archie, Louis and Nancy. The Welty family will always remember the South Road Gang and the A & W – (Aldred and Welty) memories. Rest in Peace Rosemary you now see the face of Jesus. Well done my good and faithful servant.

    • Nancy, Louis and family, Mrs. Aldred was such a lovely woman and teacher, and a special friend of my parents. May your memories bring you comfort.

  3. Reading about Rosemary’s passing has me searching Aunt Elsie Eno’s book on the Aldred Family again. Rosemary’s in-laws, my Great Uncle Arch and Great Aunt Jessie were married almost a hundred years ago in September of 1921. My husband and I visited Rosemary a few years ago and she took us by the property where my grandparents, Fred and Rachel Aldred lived and my mother, Edna Aldred Sterner grew up in Avondale. My kind thoughts are with Rosemary’s children, Tom, Lewis, Nancy, Arch, and Allen. I remember your mother fondly and my visits with her and Jessie.

  4. Deepest sympathy to the Aldred Family. Rosemary was a very kind and special lady. R.I.P. Rosemary. God blessed us all
