Rose Valenti, 91, passed away February 10, 2000. Survived by her children, M.
Maxine Price of Pueblo and John J. (LaDonna) Valenti of Pebble Beach, California;
siblings, John (Mary) Dasta of Verona, Pennsylvania, Mary Harkleroad, Marguerite
(Charles) Luciana and Charles (Frances) Dasta, all of Oakmont, Pennsylvania; 8
grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Frank
J. Valenti in 1972; son-in-law, Gene Price in 1999; 2 brothers and 1 sister. Born to
Joseph and Petrina (neé Coniglio) Dasta on October 6, 1908, in the Pittsburgh area
of Pennsylvania. Rose was a seamstress and tailor with many artistic talents. She also
enjoyed bowling, bingo and bartering! Rose resided and received excellent care at the
Sharmar Village Care Center since 1998. At her request, there will be no viewing.
Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. A memorial service will be held
4:00 p.m. Monday, February 14, 2000, at the Montgomery & Steward Chapel, with
Reverend Roger Hupp officiating.
