Rose definitely believed in doing for others, and when others were beginning their retirement, at the age of 62, Rose began her life of
volunteering, she volunteered for over 30 years at both the Homeless Shelter (Posada), Pueblo Community Soup Kitchen, and often made
monetary and clothing donations to the Los Pobres Inc. to help with the migrant workers coming to work in Pueblo’s farming community.
Rose finally started her own well-deserved retirement at the fine young age of 95. In 2009, the YWCA recognized Rose for her many, many years of volunteer work in the community and was presented with the honorable Anna Taussig Award. Her belief was “If you can do something for someone, then do it.” With that mentality and dedication, she touched the lives of so many people, including family,
friends and strangers alike.
We would like to thank our amazing caregivers from First Lite Home Care, specifically, Ms. Amy Sais and Ms. Vicky Zapian, who both went
above and beyond in assisting with her care.
In lieu of flowers please send donations in her memory to Los Pobres Inc. 212 East US Hwy 50, P.O. Box 304, Avondale, CO 81022-0304
