Rose M. Deverich, 85, passed away Oct. 20, 2010. Rose was born May 17, 1925, in Pueblo, to Mike and Katherine Deverich. She is preceded in death by her parents and niece, Michalene Renae Deverich. Survived by her brother, Michael (Eileen) Deverich of Pueblo; nieces and nephews, Michael, Mary Kay, John and Jacqueline Deverich; grandnieces and grandnephews, Jacob, Nicole and Megan Deverich and Michael Kelly. Rose began working for Pueblo School District 60 in 1942. After 41 years, she retired in 1983 as the Director of Purchasing. For many years she served on the Supervisory Committee for Pueblo Teachers' Credit Union. She enjoyed golf and bowling. In 1958, she was the first woman to make a hole-in-one on the City Park Golf Course. Rose also enjoyed spending time with her family at her cabin on the Greenhorn Creek in Rye. She was a 50 year member of the Croatian Fraternal Union and a member of St. Francis Church. The family thanks the staff at Wynwood and Dr. Indira Kedlaya for the care they gave Rose. Viewing from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, at St. Francis Church, 611 Logan Ave., with Msgr. Marvin Kapushion as celebrant.
