Rosalyn C. Hoyt, 97, passed away August 14, 2011. Survived by her sons, Thomas (Pat) and Richard (Linda) Westaway; daughter, Phyllis (Don) Stevens; grandchildren, Keith, Chris, Clint (Mindy), Carol and Paul Westaway, Tammy (Dale) Wills, Rebecca (Shawn) Vockler and Kathleen Stevens; sister, Amy Davidson; sister-in-law, Vera Ray; stepsons, John (Patricia), Dave (Barbara) and Tom Hoyt; stepdaughter, Mary (Gary) Lipscomb; step-grandchildren, Nathan and Chris Lipscomb, Steve, David and Tom Hoyt, Tammy Walters, Sheri Gaughan, Linda Ongaro and Heather Lawhon. Preceded in death by husbands, Alwyn L. Westaway and Jewell A. Hoyt; as well as six siblings.
Rosalyn was born on February 1, 1914. She graduated from Henry Ford Hospital School of Nursing in 1936, and worked in nursing until the age of 82. Rosalyn moved to Pueblo at the age of 83 and volunteered at the public library and Parkview Medical Center. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Rev. Waudell Maple officiating.
