Rosalie Mary Elley, born in Trinidad, Colorado, on May 13, 1956, passed away November 24, 2021. Rose grew up in Las Animas County. In July of 1979, she married Lonnie C. Elley and the two settled in Pueblo, Colorado. While Rose held a few secretarial positions, the occupation she held the longest was working for the 10th Judicial District in Pueblo, Colorado, as a Court Clerk. She was dedicated to that job and colleagues for 38 years and retired in May of 2021. Preceded in death by her loving father, Steve Glorioso. Survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Lonnie Elley of Pueblo; and her children, Carl (Jessi) Elley of Pueblo, and Loni Marie (Dan) Obluda of Fort Collins; and her dear grandchildren, Samuel and Emalee Elley. Also survived by her mother, Nettie Glorioso of Trinidad, Colorado; her sister, Charlene (Anthony) Verderaime of Colorado Springs; her brother, Charles (Lisa) Glorioso of Trinidad; as well as many other family members and special friends. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021, at 1:00 PM, in Trinidad, Colorado, at Holy Trinity Church. Mass on Friday, December 3, will be led by Father Michael Chrisman. Additionally, a celebration of life ceremony will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at 11:00 AM, in Pueblo, Colorado, at Fellowship of the Rockies Church, located at 3892 W Northern Ave, Pueblo, CO 81005. Officiant on Saturday, December 11, will be pastor Roy Spannagel. We invite you to attend either or both of these services to remember this beautiful woman that was precious to not only her family, but to friends, co-workers, as well as her community. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan’s Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 28 W. 44th St., Suite 609, New York, NY 10036, or Wayside Cross Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 9167, Pueblo CO 81008, in the name of Rosalie Mary Elley.

  9. Rosalie’s Trinidad home that she grew up in was right across the street from mine so I have such fond memories of her and her entire family.   12. Rosalie and I worked together. She was a great clerk and one that offered some laughs and great conversations. I remember when she shared about her grandkids being born- the excitement was such a happy time. She checked in on me from time to time as work took us in different directions and I loved her kind heart.

    She will be missed. God Bless her family and loved ones during this time. I hope you all find peace in her memory.

I did not have the pleasure of knowing Rosalie but the fact that she helped to raise Loni who is such a profoundly wonderful and phenomenal human being who has influenced countless people in so many positive ways, I can only imagine how incredible Rosalie must have been. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
