Ronaldo Leslie Reyes, 69, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on
Monday, July 13, 2026. He was born February 15, 1957, in Pueblo, Colorado. He was
a graduate of Pueblo County High School. He was a naturally gifted athlete and
enjoyed playing basketball, baseball, and football. He was a highly skilled plumber
employed by Olsen Plumbing. Anyone who knew him, knew he loved the Lord and of
his willingness to spread the Word to anyone he came in contact with including co-
workers, family, friends and people he worked for. Ronnie enjoyed spending time with
his kids, April and Ryan. He coached them as kids and then continued supporting them
as they participated in high school sports. He was tremendously proud of his family and
was happiest when they were all gathered together. Ronnie’s infectious smile and
laughter will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He was a
devoted father, brother, uncle, partner, and friend.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leslie and Winnefred Sandberg,
Joaquin and Frances Ayala; parents, Jerardo and Nellie Reyes; sister-in-law, Teresa
Reyes; and brother-in-laws, Mike Benfatti and Michael Howard. He is survived by his
children, April Reyes and Ryan Reyes; and four brothers and three sisters, as well as
many nephews and nieces. Ronnie was a devoted servant of the Lord and a member
of Southside Bible Chapel in Colorado Springs.

You were a very important part of the staff at Gorman Middle School, Ron. You were not only a custodian of the school building, but of the students and your fellow staff members. You were always willing to help. You will be missed by so many. Thank you for being my friend.

My condolences to the Reyes family. Ronnie was a great guy. We find comfort in knowing that Ronnie is now home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Ron and i played fastpitch softball together….a great player but better friend. Will never forget his friendly style…or the good times..RIP my great friend.
