Ronald “Ron” Armstrong passed peacefully into the waiting arms of God on May 9, 2026. He had been surrounded by his wife, children and some of their many grandchildren in the days preceding his death.

He will be remembered as a quiet man, steadfast in his love of family and the many animals he nurtured throughout his life. He wasn’t called St. Francis for nothing.

He joined the Air Force in 1966, served at Karamursel, Turkey and was discharged with the rank of Sergeant in 1970. He retired from Western Forge- maker of Craftsman tools- after more than 30 years of service.
He was a member of Our Lady of the Meadows.

Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Christine (McIntyre); children, Brian (Kimalee), Richard (Emelie), Katie Arend (Kioni), Susanna; grandchildren, Nik (Andrea), Cooper (Taylor), Megan (Masen) Stoddard, Riley, Spencer, Iris, Natalie O’Dell (Stephen), Sydney Arend; great-grandchildren, Eliza, Ayla, Owen, and Maren, with another on the way. He is also survived by brothers, Gene and Wayne, and their families, along with numerous cousins and extended McIntyre family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Joyce (Owen) Armstrong; in-laws, David and Shirley McIntyre;  daughter, Kelly; and brother, David.

Ron and Chris were married 55 years.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choice in Ron’s name. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Montgomery & Steward Funeral Chapel, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, CO. A funeral Mass will take place at Our Lady of the Meadows Parish, 23 Starling Dr., Pueblo, CO on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
