  1. HI RED,
WE ARE SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR DAD, WE DON’T GET THE PAPER, SO WE DIDN’T KNOW UNTIL TODAY 11-06-04

HE WAS A GOOD MAN. WE GOT ALONG PRETTY GOOD.

I TOLD ROSIE THAT THE FRIST TIME SHE SEES YOUR DAD, THAT SHE WILL GET A KINK IN HER NECK WHEN SHE SAYS HI, SINCE SHE WILL HAVE TO LOOK UP HIGH, BECAUSE HE WAS REAL TALL.

A FRIEND TOLD US AND THEY KEPT THE WRITE-UP, SO THIS HELP US OUT.

I DIDN’T KNOW BOB THAT YOU MOVED TO ARIZONIA. WHEN DID YOU MOVE THERE, DO YOU LIKE IT THERE. DO YOU HAVE YOUR BUSINESS, OR DO YOU WORK FOR SOMEONE ELSE, IF SO, WHAT ARE YOU DOING. DID YOU GET MARRIED AGAIN, OR DID YOU SAY NOT FOR ME AGAIN, HA HA. I CAN’T WAIT TOO RETIRE, I WANT TO RETIRE IN 4 YEARS, WE WILL SEE.

BOB SEND ME YOUR ADDRESS, OR PHONE NUMBER, OR JUST GIVE ME A CALL WHEN YOU CAN.
MY PHONE NUMBER IS IN THE PHONE BOOK, CALL ALFRED AND ASK HIM TO LOOK IT UP IN THE BOOK. I DON’T WANT EVERYBODY TO KNOW IT.

    SIGNING OFF–GARY

AGAIN BOBBY WE ARE VERY SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR DAD.

  2. We met Mr.Hastings(“Big Grandpa”) during a visit with Dave & Nellie
back in the early 90’s. Remember best about him was his open &
good sense of humor. He really made visitors to his place feel
welcome.Know now where Nellie got her nature from. Our thoughts
and prayers are with the family.

    Love,
    Mark & Linda Williams

  3. It was always good to see Mr. Hastings in my office, although he would insist, with a smile, that “Mr. Hastings” was his father.
The twinkling eyes, although dim from within, reflected his courage, humor, and independence. Nellie’ssupport was always admired.
Although I never learned to harvest wheat, at least he offered to teach me. Maybe next time, Mr. Hastings.
