Please know my heart is breaking for all of you! We’ve been friends for well over 55 years and even though many years have passed by, and we haven’t been in touch, it’s like time has stood still! Oh the fun times we’ve had! When I talked to you this morning Margaret, on the phone, we picked up where we left off, except for the fact this was the worst phone call we’ve ever had! Bob was so loved and will be forever fondly missed by everyone who ever knew him! I watched Bobs service online and it was absolutely beautiful! You three granddaughters did a great job and their Papa would be so proud of all of you! I know your words touched the hearts of everyone there and online watching too! I cried right along with you! Also, the flag ceremony was so so touching! I will be keeping each one of you in my thoughts and prayers for peace in your hearts! Always “Remember the Good Times”! Love and Prayers, Sincerely, Charlene Alumbaugh Himes
I’m so sorry to hear of the passing of Bob. I’ve known Bob for many many years, from when he was a young boy! He used to come to my house often and hang out with Charlene and Sherry and all their friends! When Bob went in the service, I would always ask his Mom and Dad about him. I always loved Bob so much, whenever he was at my home he would always come in the kitchen to visit with me! He was always so polite and I always thought he was such a handsome young man! He was loved and will be missed! Sincerely, Carol Alumbaugh
