Robert 'Bob' Lawrence Valois, 77, passed from this life Sept 11, 2018, after a lengthy illness. Memorial service, 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Valley Community Church in Colorado City.   1. Robert “Bob” Lawrence Valois, 77, passed peacefully from this life on September 11, after a lengthy illness. Bob was born April 14, 1941 to Lordie and Ann (Gagnon) Valois in Negaunee, Michigan.

    Bob served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1964. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 115, of Colorado City, CO. Bob was an over-the-road truck driver and retired after 45 years. His hobbies were bowling, traveling, and watching any sport with a ball. Bob loved his family and he loved life.

    He is survived by wife Gale (Brooks) Valois, of Colorado City, CO. Daughters: Robin (Tony) Valois-Beckham of Gardner, LA; Teletha (Julius) Valois-Dousay of Hineston, LA; Nancy (Jeff) Valois-Sacek of Valparaiso, IN. Sons: Robert (Susan) Valois of IN, Lawrence (Tracy) Valois of Crown Point, In; Damone (Dawn) Valois of Portage, IN; James (Karen) Wise of IL; Alan Wise of IL. Brothers: Ronald Valois of Cedar Lake, IN. Thomas Valois of Griffith, IN and sister Laverne Valois of IN. Special granddaughter Jennifer (James) Lamb of VA. 21 Grandchildren. 32 Great-grandchildren. Special friends; Diana (Mike) Schlegal of CO, and Laura Shlegal of CO.

    Bob is preceeded in death by: Parents Lordie and Ann Valois, brother Jack Valois and sister Rosemary Lantagne-Valois.
