Robert L. Hull, 83, passed away Oct. 8, 2009. Survived by his son, Bobby (Alice) Hull of Pueblo; grandchildren, Robby, Jenna and Jayme Hull; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Kathy Hull, Violet Martinelli, Elizabeth (John) Klaufrich, Ray (Shirley) Pusedu, Joe Pusedu, JoAnn (Richard) Virant and Elaine Pusedu. Preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Hull on June 12, 2003; parents, Joseph and Alice Hull; brothers, Melvin and Hubert Hull; and stepsister, Merle Frost. Robert was born April 28, 1926, in Beulah, Colo. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during WWII. He was the owner/operator of Performance Tire. Robert was a sports fan and supported his grandchildren in all their sports. Viewing from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Service, 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Rick Calhoun officiating. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pueblo Rural Fire District through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main St., Pueblo, Colo. 81003.     Regarding the late Robert Hull, thank you for informing me of his passing.

    Although I never met him personally, we did have several telephone conversations.

    As he was justifiably proud of his WWII Merchant Marine service, I trust that you and the rest of the family members find comfort in sharing that pride.

    Your mom and dad were very good & kind to a young boy that lost his dad at 10. I feel lucky to have known them both.
