Robert J. Gallardo, 77, passed away March 23, 2015. Survived by his son, RJ Gallardo; siblings, Elizabeth Ann Garcia, Jessie (Cruz) Arellano, Felix (Edith) Gallardo and Jesus (Toni Lynn) Gallardo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Cruz Arellano, Jr.; and niece, Tammy Marie Gallardo. Robert was born to Jesus and Mary Gallardo on Jan. 22, 1938, in Florence, Colo. where he also grew up. He worked at the CF&I and owned a lawn service company. Robert enjoyed fishing, camping, fly tying, sports, reading, going to the movies, the Broncos, going to Las Vegas and especially spending time with his family. He was a coach for the Father Powers Basketball League, involved with Meals on Wheels and played semi pro baseball. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. My condolences to the family. Bob and I grew up in Florence less than
a block away from each other. He was such a great friend and we also played together in all sports in Florence. As Huskies we shared many victories and played for a State Baseball Championship.
