Resided in: Pueblo, CO

Robert Griffith 'Parksie'Park, 73, was called home on Jan. 30, 2004. Heaven must have needed a special electrician to keep the stars lit. Bob was a lifelong Puebloan, a U.S. Navy Veteran, a 50-year member of I.B.E.W. Local 12 and a life-member of B.P.O. Elks No. 90. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Eva Jean; parents; sister; special brothers and sister-in-law; and his baby son, Terry. He leaves behind a loving family - children, Tracy Park, Dale (Katherine) Park, Douglas (Kelly) Park, Cathy (Robert) Hemsath and William (June) Lowe; grandchildren, Josh, Robert, Laura, Kayla, Kirstie and Robyn. Robert was a true family man who dedicated his life to helping others. At one point, he provided for his beautiful wife, four children, his parents and mother-in-law, building an addition to his house to care for them all. Bob and Jean had a special home that knew no strangers, and they extended their loving arms to everyone they met. Mom left us in May and Dad, brokenhearted, joined her. We can never express how loved and special they were, and the legacy they left behind. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel with Pastor Mark Apodaca officiating. Military Honors by Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Amazing Grace Fellowship Church, through the funeral home.
