Robert 'Bob' Leon Turner, 69, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. He was born in Dallas, Texas, on May 20, 1943, to George Robert Turner and Mary Marie Feaster-Turner. He was a longstanding resident of Pueblo and Rye, Colorado. Most recently lived in Manitou Springs and Pueblo West, Colorado. A member of Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Robert devoted his life to Health Care Administration by owning and/or operating Long Term Care Communities. He wrote the first Colorado Nursing Home Administrator's examination and passed in 1970 and holds license #100. Unfortunately, in 1991, a car accident rendered him disabled and he was unable to work in a traditional sense. He was known for his musical and artistic talents and philosophical mannerism, which developed even further during his lengthy illness. His family was most important to him. A marriage of almost fifty years to his soul mate and wife, Sandra, rendered four children, four grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter. He loved family dinners, parties, and functions that brought everyone together. Robert is survived by wife, Sandra McIver-Turner; sons, Kenneth Andrew (Shani) Turner, Allan Amos (Patricia) Turner; grandchildren, Brittany (Mark) Turner, Mikayla Turner, Darian Rodman, and Christopher Turner; sister, Rebecca Conine (John); brother, Charles (Patty) Turner; sister-in-law, Sue Turner; brother-in-law, Ed Ruehlen; former daughter-in-law, Vickie Turner-Reed; former sons-in-law, Curtis Rodman and Tony Huckabey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless close friends. Robert was preceded in death by daughter, Rachelle Rodman-Huckabey; son, Ricky James Turner; great-granddaughter, Alexandria Lynae Turner-Griego; parents, George and Mary Turner; parents in-law, James and Beulah McIver; sister, Judy Ruehlen; and brother, Jerry Turner. Rosary, 10 a.m., funeral Mass to follow, Saturday, Feb. 2, Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 1132 West Oro Grande Drive, Pueblo West, CO. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens.
