Resided in: Pueblo, CO

Rilda Zoe (Craton) Hunt passed away on December 28, 2013 at her Pueblo home at age 89. Zoedee, as she was fondly called by family, was born on December 14, 1924 at Scottsbluff, NE, to Willie A. and Mable G. (Tremain) Craton of LaGrange, WY. She was the youngest of four daughters, Stacia, Yola, and Wanda. Her primary and secondary education was completed at the LaGrange Public School. Post-secondary education included the Immanuel Bible College, Colorado Springs, CO, where she met her future husband, Lawren C. Hunt. Her Christian life began at 22 years of age and continued to the day of her eternal home going. Zoe and Lawren were married June 20, 1949 at the Immanuel Missionary Church at LaGrange, WY. Together they pastored churches in Carlisle, WY; Custer, SD; Colorado Springs, CO; Wauneta, NE; Flathead Indian Reservation, MT; Denver, CO; Mitchell, NE; and presently at Pueblo, CO. Her children will never forget her squeaky rocking chair, homemade fresh bread, canned peaches, homemade ketchup, Sunday dinner pot roast, cold water chocolate cake with its coconut icing, huckleberry jam, handmade dresses, shirts and ski jackets, ability to make any house into a home, enormous vegetable gardens, multi-colored petunia beds, and of course, her scary Halloween song 'There was an old woman, all skin and bones'. She was her husband's singing companion, and steadfast helpmate. She was his church pianist up until just 42 days ago. Together, they renovated many a parsonage as they served the Immanuel Missionary Church throughout their sixty four years of marriage. She is now with her parents Willie and Mable Craton; three sisters, Stacia Wood, Yola Sanders, and Wanda Nighswonger; daughter-in-law Ruth Myers Hunt; grandsons Ryan Hunt and Brian Hunt.
