Richard 'Rick' Torres, 63, passed away unexpectedly on August 10, 2019, at 12:33 a.m. He is survived by his fiancee of 16 years, Deanna Strait; son, Kelly Torres; daughter, Tara (Jonathan) Neilson; and son, Jesse Torres; grandchildren, Aiyana and Jonathan Jr. 'J.J.'; granddogs, Bella, Penny and Maggie; siblings, Manuel 'Sonny' (Valerie) Torres, Gloria (David) Vallejo, Betty (Arthur) Carrillo, Isabella Sanchez, David (Rala) Torres; two surviving aunts; mother of his children, Debbie Torrez; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and Deanna's family. Preceded in death by his loving parents, Manuel and Socorro Torres; and grandparents from both sides. Rick was born February 14, 1956, the youngest of six children, in Pueblo, Colo. He was a 1974 East High School graduate, excelling as an athlete in multiple sports, especially wrestling where he was awarded the Jerry Pike Outstanding Wrestler Award. Throughout Rick's life, he made so many friends and enjoyed making people laugh. His passion was fishing, camping, working on his yard and listening to music all while enjoying an ice cold beer. But the thing he loved the most in the world was spending time with his daughter, fiancee, his grandkids and granddogs. His glowing smile, quick sense of humor and laughter will be missed by all. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Please celebrate Rick's life by wearing your favorite football team, except if you're a Raider's fan. 'Cause they sit down to pee!' ~ Rick
