Richard J. Wise

Richard J. Wise, 77, passed away February 21, 2014, in Pueblo. Survived by daughter, Jeri (Chuck) Swann of Salida; siblings, Bill (Diane Balkin) Wise of Denver and Kathy (Eulice Kogovsek) Wise of Windsor; grandchildren, Weston Wright and C.R. Swann; great-granddaughter, Riley Swann; nephews and niece, John, Blake and Shannon Wise. Preceded in death by wife, Carol; brother, Jim; and his parents. Richard was born in Minneapolis, Minn. on Aug. 17, 1936, to Jack and Evelyn Wise. He was a teacher in Illinois and in 1984, moved to La Junta after retirement. Richard worked at Gobins in sales for over ten years. He, and his wife Carol, loved golfing and he enjoyed history. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Memorial service, 11 a.m. Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Emmanuel Mennonite Church, 502 Harriett Ave. with Jeremy Yoder officiating.
