Richard E. 'Rich' Carpio, 53, passed away unexpectedly at home Thurs. Apr. 28, 2016. Survived by his daughter, Katelyn E. Carpio; father, Gene Carpio; and sister, Debby Carpio. Preceded in death by his mother, Norma Carpio. Rich graduated from East High School and received a BS in accounting at Ashford University. He was a meat cutter for King Soopers for over 12 years, was a member of First Presbyterian's Church praise group called 'Tuned In' and participated in a number of local musicals including Fiddler On The Roof. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium. Reception for friends and family to be held 7 p.m. Thursday and memorial service, 1 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016, both at First Presbyterian Church, 220 W. 10th. In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice through Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors, 1317 N. Main Street, Pueblo, CO 81003.   6. I am saddened by Rich’s early departure. He was one of the bright lights in my teaching career. I will always remember his sense of humor and can-do attitude. My deepest sympathies to Gene and Debbie. I had lost touch with him but will forever have him in my heart.

  17. I am so sorry for the loss of Rich. I really hope you can find some comfort from God’s word, it can give us comfort and hope that some day there will be no more death. At Revelation 21:4 it says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.’ďż˝

    Again I’m deeply sorry for your loss. Romans 12:15ďż˝says Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep. My heart goes out to you and to your family.
