Richard “Dick” Class, 82, passed away unexpectedly on June 26, 2023. He was born August 16, 1940, in Lexington, IL to Don and Rhea Class. He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Barbara Class; their children, Richard (Michelle) Class, Pam (John) Komaroski, and Kris (Russ) Gensemer; and four grandchildren, Amy Komaroski, Abby Komaroski, Josh Genesmer, and Jake Gensemer. He is also survived by his siblings, Scott (Regina) Class, Cindy (Chris) Gasser, and Brad (Lori) Class; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In 1978, Dick and his family moved to Pueblo and opened the local Ben Franklin Store. In 2005, he purchased and operated Ted’s Barber Shop until his retirement. He and Barb have resided at Hatchet Ranch since 1999.
Dick’s unending love for his wife and family will be missed by all. He loved life and was always happy and cheerful.
Dick was active with his church parish, St. Aloysius, The Knights of Columbus, the Hatchet Ranch Pinochle Club, and the Hatchet Ranch Home Owners Association.
There will be a rosary at 9:30 a.m. followed by the memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 6, 2023, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 8006 CO-165 in Rye, Colo. Interment at St. Aloysius Cemetery. The family will receive friends afterward at St. Aloysius Hall.

  2. There was never a more connected couple- Dick and Barb. Their deep love was evident to anyone who met them. Our prayers go out to Barb. Dick was a gentle soul and will be missed by all of us.

  3. We miss him so much already. He was truly a light to others, and had such a kind and generous heart.
