Raymond Edward 'Ray' Lewis, age 81, passed away Jan. 4, 2018. He was born July 6, 1936, in Pueblo, Colo., to Ina and Clarence Lewis. Preceded in death by parents; son, Raymond Edward 'Eddie' Lewis II; and numerous brothers and sisters. Ray is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janice Lewis; children, Cindy (Ron) Loughridge, Steve (Rhonda) Lewis, Rhonda (Tim) Johnson; siblings, Bernard (Nellie) Lewis, Kenneth (Carrie) Lewis and Gary (Carolyn) Lewis. He also is survived by grandchildren, Charlie Hall, Chris Hall, Nick (Amy) Hall, Kendra (Remington) Renden, Tiffany (Tony) Salerno, Thane (Brittany) Lewis, Stephanie (Chad) Pfeif, Jessica (Kyle Szuta) Johnson and Michael Johnson; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He graduated from Central High School in 1954, and received his associate of science degree from Pueblo Junior College. After working his entire adult life at CF&I, Ray retired as a supervisor of management information systems. While Ray's greatest joy in life were his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he also loved playing cards, camping, fishing, riding motorcycles, attending swim meets and traveling. Those closest to him observed his work ethic in everything he did, and he passed this trait on to his children and grandchildren. A service in his honor will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at Sonrise Church, 421 E. Spaulding Ave., Pueblo West, Colo.
