Guestbook

  1. I only recently heard about Randy’s death, but I would like to offer belated & most heartfelt sympathy to the Hodapp family. I was so lucky alphabetically to always be partnered with Randy and/or Joey Lackman in every single class at the CIA! Almost every memory of that time has Randy’s smiling face attached. He was a true friend, lots of fun, loved by everyone & very gifted in the kitchen. His one often repeated wish was to graduate and get back to his family in Fort Collins as soon as humanly possible. If anyone would like me to share some CIA pictures of Randy – please email me at cynthia.wahl@verizon.net.

    God bless,
    Cynthia Lane Wahl

  2. I wish I got you meet you. The way George talks about you makes me wish that we were able to meet each other and develop and father/daughter relationship. Thank you for all you did for George. I promise I will try to love him as much as you did.

  3. Randy wasn’t only a great friend’ he was also a great dad. I promise I will always look up to him. He tried to get help after realizing his mistakes. I was so proud of him when he graduated from the Salivation Army Rehab Center. I love you dad. May you rest in peace daddy.

  4. Dear Barbara, Eli and Kenlyn,

I am stunned and very saddened about this. I worked with Randy many years ago in Fort Collins at Colorado State U. He took me under his wing and helped me be successful. I have so many memories of him and what a genuine and great guy he was. One time I was painting our house and he came over and saw what a miserable time I was having. He said, “you could use some help”, and he rolled up his sleeves and helped me out. That is only one of many times he helped me out. That was the kind of guy he was. He was a very dear friend. Eli was around 5 or 6 and Kenlyn was 2 or 3 at the time and he was married to Cathy. He truely improved and enriched our lives. I am a better person for having known him. I had not spoken with him in some time and I wanted to come up this Summer and see him, but it is not to be. Goodbye Dear Friend

Me and my wife want to extend our deepest and most sincere condolences.

    Robert and Dana Bull

  5. Wayne, my father, worked with Randy’s father at the CF&I and thought a lot of him. He heard of Randy’s passing and asked for the obituary. I’m sending sympathies in his behalf as he still has a special place in his heart for the Hodapps.

  6. Mrs. Hodapp and family, I was stunned to read of Randy’s passing just today. I will always remember him laughing and smiling. I recall fondly going over to your house by the Arkansas River with my mom and hanging out with you guys.

I’m not sure what happened to him or how he passed on, but whatever it was, he was taken far too soon!!! My prayers to you and your entire family during this most difficult time.
