Racine Winona Palumbo, 94, passed through to eternal life on May 27, 2013. There was much rejoicing at the gates of Heaven when the Lord called her home to be with Him and her husband, Angelo; children, Bobby, Danny, Honey, Benny, Johnny, and Donny; and nephew, Joey. She is survived by her children, Angelo (Sharon) Palumbo and Ron (Marlene) Palumbo; niece, Shirley (Wally) Wallace; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. We would like to convey a heartfelt thank you to all of Rae's special angels at Innovage, University Park Nursing Home, and Hospice who took tender loving care of our mom. Words cannot express our gratitude. Please join us at a memorial service to celebrate her life, 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2013, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. The service for Racine was beautiful! It was heart-warming to see such an outpouring of love for this “Special” lady. We are sure it is very hard to say the “Final” goodbye to such a central figure in your lives. Her life seemed very full and filled with love and joy, judging by the photo memorial. She would feel greatly honored by the memories ALL of you have held close to your hearts! She is with her creator now…and he is probably whispering in her ear, “Job well done my child”, you can be my special seamstress now! Blessed are all of you carrying the memory of Racine in your heart.
