R. D. 'Dan' Anderson, 93, passed away May 20, 2004. Born February 1, 1911, in Victor, Colorado. Preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers. He is survived by his sister, Margaret V. MacFerren of Pueblo and his niece, Vicki Lynott of Littleton, Colorado. Also survived by his sister-in-law, Helen Anderson Rohde of Colorado Springs and 8 additional nieces and nephews and their families. Dan was a graduate of Colorado State University with a Masters Degree in Horticulture. On July 1, 1935, he began working for the Soil Conservation Service until he retired in 1975 as an Assistant State Conservationist. During World War II he served as a commander of an LST in the Pacific. Dan enjoyed taking care of his home and yard, helping his sister with her yard, and fishing in Bison Reservoir in Victor.
