Philomena Thompson, 83, passed away August 3, 2012. Survived by her children, JoAnn (Joe Hubersberger) Thompson, Janet (Howard) Short, Judith, Ellen and Cheryl Thompson and Raymond (Gina) Thompson; siblings, Evelyn Ksiazek, Delmar Vlcek, Rosalee Ziemba and Dennis Vlcek; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Thompson; parents, Joe and Mary Vlcek; siblings, Rita Matousek, Lorraine Perkinson, Betty Schnechloth, Donald Vlcek and baby Mary Jean Vlcek. Philomena was born September 27, 1928, in Schuyler, Neb. She was a homemaker who enjoyed baking, sewing, was a friend and caregiver to many and a top notch 'kid' wrangler. Viewing from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012, in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel. Funeral Mass, 11 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Holy Family Church, 2827 Lakeview Ave., with the Rev. Fr.
