Phillip Michael 'Mickey' Lewis, 62, passed away December 2, 2012. Survived by his daughter, Camille Koetting, Carlsbad, New Mexico; mother, Helen B. Johnson, Terre Haute, Indiana; son-in-law, Richard Koetting, Pueblo West; brother; S. John (Ruth) Nasser, Terre Haute, Indiana, ; step-daughter, Regina Davis, Gallatin, Ind.; sisters-in-law, Eunice Shaw, Hendersonville, Tenn., Jacin 'Geraldine' Brinkley, Nashville, Tenn.; brother-in-law, Eugene Brinkley, Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren, PFC Malachi Villegas, Anchorage, Alaska and Zachary Koetting and Catherine Koetting, both of Pueblo West; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Preceded in death by his wife, Rita Brinkley-Lewis; father, Harry W. Lewis; step-father, Charles Johnson; and his sister, Edith 'Christine' Dunning. He was born on January 8, 1950 in Terre Haute, Ind. to Helen and Harry W. Lewis. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict. He received several ribbons and awards including the Purple Heart and bronze star and was permanently disabled. He enjoyed fishing and working on vehicles and especially enjoyed his grandchildren. Member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Visitation will be held from 1 until 4 pm on Sunday, December 9, 2012 in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel, Pueblo, Colorado.
