Phil Shaufler II, 35, of Colorado Springs. Born July 27, 1972, died July 11, 2008. He is survived by his daughter, the love of his life, Briana Belisle of Pueblo West; mother, Mona Quillen of Pueblo; father, Phil (Diana) Shaufler of Manzanonla; sisters, Becki Shaufler of Pueblo and Dawn Chavez of Ordway; nieces, Skyla, Vanessa and Samantha; grandparents, Harry and Melva Quillen and Toney Shaufler; along with numerous other family and friends. Phil worked for Safeway, as a manager of the meat department, for the past 13 years. He was an avid outdoors man. There will be no viewing. Cremation, Montgomery & Steward Crematorium.
A celebration of Phil's life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Fat Jacks, 3613 Betty Dr., Colorado Springs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made, in Phil's name, for his daughter Briana's College Fund to Minnequa Works Credit Union, 4700 Eagleridge Circle, Pueblo, Colo. 81008.

Mona, I looked here today and saw that the note we sent to y’all was not here. Kim’s made it but not ours. The origional was sent on July 16th. You are continually in our prayers. We are praying that God will surround you with his peace and comfort everyday as you deal with the loss of your precious son. God knows all and sees all and knows what you have need of today. Philly, you were my best friend on this planet. You got me through some rough times. You were always there to put a smile on my face, even when all I wanted to do is cry. Phil was the cool older cousin that always made time for me when we came to town. No words can express the great sadness that I feel and regret that my kids will never know what a beautiful and kind man he was. He will always be in my heart.
To the Shaufler family, may God be with you and Bless you. I worked with Phil for many years as his wrapper.Phil could put a smile on your face and a song in your heart, namely Johnny Cash. Briana , know that he loved you and thought so much of his Baby Girl.He always talked about you and your love of Betty Page. May God be with you and Bless You. God has called another one of our angels home, and now heaven will shine brighter with the new star they have received. Even though your time has ended here on earth, our Father in Heaven will hold you till the rest of us arrive and the family will all be together again. You are sadly missed and loved. I was deeply saddened to hear about Phil. I worked at Safeway with Phil,and even before i got the chance to meet him, I heared about his reputation as a smart,hard working man who got things done. After I met him I found him to be all of those things, and many more! To me he was an all around great guy, who spoke often of how proud he was of his daughter,great humor,great passion, great friendship. GREATLY MISSED. LUV YA MAN
Phil and I dated as teenagers and recently reconnected. We shared a great trip to Las Vegas in December. Phil my love you will forever be in my heart! My deepest sympathies to all of Phil’s family
